The MAG May exhibit features
Mooresville Artist Guild’s 30th Annual Spring
Artfest sponsored by Speedball. The judge is
Sharon E. Nelson, Executive Director of
Associated Artists of Winston-Salem.
This
year’s Spring Artfest features the work of 60
artists showing 117 pieces of art (most current
stats). The opening reception sponsored in part
by Lake Norman Realty will be held Saturday, May
3rd from 6—8 pm, during the Gallery Crawl. This
event is open to the public, everyone is invited
and there is no charge.
Best of Show
The Mooresville Artist Guild regularly scheduled
meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 27th. Social time starts at
6:30 pm with the meeting starting promptly at 7 pm. The May demo
features artist Dottie McHugh. Dottie will demonstrate her
encaustics techniques. She will cover basic application, have some
of her finished pieces as examples and show the carving out method.
Dottie says “This is a fairly easy medium to learn if you have the
correct tools and practice all the safety precautions.” For more
