I Am

Shelly says, "Since I was a small child, and I could hold a crayon, I have always had my "hands on" creating one project or another. I was blessed to have parents that encouraged my love for the arts.

I am a portrait artist, a muralist, a decorative artist, and diversified in many art mediums. I presently enjoy working in oils and colored pencil. I do commissioned pieces both publicly and privately from New York to the Carolinas.

Created for the MAG Women Paint Women 2009 Self-Portrait Event. "It was harder to draw myself than I thought..I used a mirror.. and incorporated images that I think define me. I found myself focusing on more of who I am that what I look like. That was my inspiration!"
