Barbara is a full time artist working in
watercolor and oil. Although drawing and painting since childhood,
she didn’t begin painting seriously until the late 70’s when she
joined a watercolor class taught by Eloise Gardner in the New York
area. For the following ten years Barbara took many classes and
workshops, joining art leagues and exhibiting her work in the area.
A great influence on her work from that time has been her
association with Jeff Webb, an acclaimed artist and personal friend.
She is a past member of several art organizations in New York,
Florida and Mississippi and is currently a member of both the Ocean
Springs Art Association and the Singing River Art Association in
Mississippi |
and the Mooresville Artists Guild in North Carolina, where she
currently lives.
Barbara is an award winning artist who has paintings in private
collections throughout the United States. Her subjects include a
range of landscape scenes, birds, flowers, beaches and lighthouses
while specializing in portraiture and a current series of paintings
of the Pascagoula River and the surrounding bayous. |
